Taking the Microsoft Certification Exam 70–483: Programming in C#

Why Microsoft Certification Exam?
Microsoft’s certification program is the leading certification program for IT professionals. It helps you to show what you can do and not simply what you know. It allows you to demonstrate your proficiency and skill with typical tasks that you as a developer perform daily in your job.
Once passing Microsoft Certification Exam, you will be recognized for your skills, which in turn will allow you to promote yourself to relevant communities, projects, or employers.
Certifications fuel new and valuable careers. Microsoft Certified Professionals spend less time interviewing and more time driving value. Adding a Microsoft certification to your CV helps you stand out and get hired — faster. In some cases, certification has allowed hiring managers to fill positions 25% more quickly.
Who wouldn’t want that?
So, once you have decided to take C# Certification Exam 70–483, the very next step would be to register its date. This is the step that I always do in the very start (let’s say before 5 months).
How to Register and Take Microsoft Certification Exam 70–483: Programming in C#?
- Register the exam 70–483 from here (It’s an easy to use website with straight forward registration, test center selection and payment process).
- Schedule the date for taking exam and choose the closest test center near you.
- Pay the exam fee. The official exam fee is $165.00 USD. However, the price varies from country to country.
- Discount may offer up to 50% only if you have a Dreamspark’s student account.
What to Bring to Test Center?
Your exam has now been scheduled and the time slot reserved for you. Just print out your receipt from the Site and bring it along to the test center. You should also take one other form of Identification. This can either be your driving license or passport.
Can I Cancel or Re-Schedule the Exam?
Yes, you can cancel your scheduled exam and Yes you can re-schedule it from the same site that you’ve used for scheduling it.
What Happens After the Exam?
Once you finish the exam, result will be immediately sent to Microsoft for verification. If you’ve passed the exam, your certification status will be updated accordingly (your certificate will appear within 24 hours)
Your Microsoft Transcript will be updated automatically so you know which exams you’ve passed.
